This is a three point fiver. A bit better than 3 stars but a 4.
Came by for breakfast. Affordable and good. Had a classic eggs benedict and it was what I expected it to be. The home fries were a surprise...deep fried rounds with seasoned salt and onions on top. Tasty. Hubs had a regular bacon and egg breakfast and was happy with it.
They have early bird pricing before 8:30 on some days...maybe all, but I can't see the sign from here.
Decor is simple and dated but it works just fine.
Would I return? Yes
Would I recommend? Great neighbourhood joint. -

Such an ideal location but this menu needs a huge update.
The food is so outdated.
Salad? Iceberg lettuce with a piece of tomato and dressing added.
Chicken fingers? Frozen awful things; you'd get better food at a hospital in the 1980s.
Fries are okay.
Presentation of food is not very nice.
Interior is being renovated/ painted which is a good sign. They could use a scrub floor to ceiling when it comes to cleanliness in the restaurant.
Flies landing on you during your meal is the biggest turn off of all time.
The menu items are fine but the quality of food is embarrassing. Especially for 13$+ per plate.
It's okay to have pub food; but it can at least be fresh, home made or decent quality.
Lots of older clientele because the food is suited for a nursing home.
So much potential here. I hope they update the menu and food quality soon. Could be a huge success. -

I had a very good breakfast here, although the interior has seen better days. Came on a Sunday, early afternoon for a very late breakfast. They were able to get us seated quickly though, even though it was the end of a lunch rush and there were no clean tables when we arrived.
For breakfast I had eggs and smoked meat while my girlfriend had a full breakfast platter with bacon, sausage, eggs, and pancakes. The eggs were cooked well, nice and not rubbery or overcooked but not too runny. The smoked meat was nice while they were nice enough to bring unbuttered toast for me. The coffee was the only letdown, it was pretty bland and watery but the rest of the breakfast was excellent. The service was very good, with a sort of family vibe to it, with the teenagers busing dishes. Our particular waitress was excellent, she was very friendly and attentive.
Overall if you are looking for a good cheap breakfast in the area, Wellington Eatery is a good pick. It's proper diner breakfast at proper diner prices, as long as you aren't worried about a dated interior. -

Food was decent and well-priced. The interior is definitely dated but there's nothing wrong with a dive-y 70s aesthetic. The service was good.
My male brunch companions said that the bathrooms were totally disgusting and suggested avoiding them completely. -

For Breakfast...magnificent. I have had the opportunity to drop in 4 times in the last several months for a leisurely weekend breakfast and each experience was fantastic. It reminds me of the restaurants that used to be found on Bank St that were dated and desperately needed a renovation, but made the best home cooked meals imaginable.
The staff are extremely friendly and down to earth, and the clientele really come from all walks of life. If you are looking for a down to earth, old style "greasy spoon at a reasonable price", start to your day, this is the place for you. Highly recommend!
Ps the potatoes with onion can't be missed
